A push-button insert replaces the worn or broken control interface on professional dishwashers and glasswashers. This elliptical LF component sits flush in the front panel, where the operator presses it to start, pause or select a programme. The button itself is a mechanical switch: when pressed, it completes an electrical circuit that signals the dishwasher's control board to begin the wash cycle. No power passes through the button; it merely closes a contact that tells the machine to proceed. The shape and travel of the button are standardised to match the original parts of the listed brands, so the replacement restores the original feel and response without adjustment to the surrounding panel.
The sequence of use is straightforward. The operator loads the rack with crockery or glassware, closes the door and presses the elliptical button once. The dishwasher receives the signal, locks the door and starts the pre-set programme. If the machine is paused mid-cycle, a second press resumes it; a longer press may cancel the cycle, depending on the model. The button's elliptical shape provides a larger surface area for easy location, even when the operator's hands are wet or gloved.
This LF insert is constructed as a single unit with a rigid plastic body and a silicone or rubber diaphragm that seals the switch against water and detergent. The diaphragm flexes with each press, returning the button to its raised position when released. No tools are required for installation: the old button is pulled out and the new one is pushed into the same aperture until it clicks into place.
The insert fits a wide range of professional dishwashers, glasswashers and cupwashers from AMIKA, APACH, COLGED, COMENDA, DESCO, DEXION, DIHR, ELETTROBAR, EUROWASH, IME OMNIWASH, MBM and WOLK. It is also compatible with certain refrigerated display cabinets and cupboards by ZANUSSI, where an elliptical push-button of the same type is used for control input.
Cleaning is limited to wiping the exposed surface with a damp cloth; no disassembly is needed. The diaphragm prevents liquid from reaching the internal switch, so the insert remains functional even in the wet environment of a commercial wash-down area.
