Electric cooker with 2 x 2,5 kW burners with open stand
An electric stove with two cast-iron hot plates heats pans by conduction from beneath. The heating elements under each plate convert electrical energy into heat, which the dense cast iron spreads evenly across the cooking surface. This method gives rapid, consistent temperature control without open flames, making it suitable for precise cooking tasks in professional kitchens.
The operator places pans on the 300 mm square hot plates, selects the desired power level on the six-position thermostat plus an off setting, and starts the unit. Indicator lights show when each plate is active. The safety device prevents overheating by cutting power if the temperature exceeds safe limits. A moulded recess around the worktop catches spills, and rounded corners reduce sharp edges for easier cleaning.
The stove is built on an open stand with a watertight pressed worktop in 1 mm AISI 304 stainless steel. The cast-iron hot plates are fixed to the worktop and sealed to prevent liquid ingress. Each plate is powered by a 2.5 kW heating element controlled by a six-position thermostat plus an off position.
The 5 kW total power rating requires a 400 V three-phase supply, which is standard for heavy-duty catering equipment in commercial kitchens. The 58 kg weight indicates a sturdy construction that remains stable during use but may require two people to move. The 400 mm depth, 714 mm width and 850 mm height fit into a compact footprint, allowing placement alongside other worktop appliances.
Cleaning involves wiping the stainless-steel worktop and cast-iron plates after each use to remove food debris and grease. The watertight seals and moulded spill recess simplify maintenance by containing liquids. The open stand allows access to the underside for periodic cleaning.
