Professional and durable electric griddle with a smooth surface, ensuring even heat distribution and easy cleaning. Equipped with safety features, ideal for professional kitchens.
A smooth electric griddle heats a solid metal plate to cook food directly on its surface, eliminating the need for pans. The plate absorbs heat from electric elements beneath it and spreads it evenly across its width, so every part of the cooking area reaches the same temperature. This method gives consistent browning and searing, whether the food is delicate fish fillets or thick burgers, and allows the operator to move items around the plate without hot spots or cold zones. To use the griddle, the operator first sets the thermostat to the desired temperature between 100 °C and 240 °C. Once the plate reaches the set point, the thermostat cycles the elements on and off to maintain it. Food is placed directly on the smooth surface; there is no raised edge, so items can be slid across the plate or flipped with a spatula. A rear flue chimney draws steam and smoke upwards, keeping the workspace clearer. Splashguards on three sides contain grease and liquids, and a front channel collects them into a removable drawer for quick disposal. The worktop and splashguards are made of AISI 304 stainless steel, chosen for corrosion resistance and hygiene. The cooking surface is a 15 mm thick mild steel plate that holds heat well and distributes it evenly. Four sturdy legs raise the unit to a comfortable working height, and cool-grip handles and knobs stay safe to touch even when the plate is hot. A 10.8 kW power rating means the griddle draws a substantial load; it requires its own dedicated circuit to avoid tripping other equipment. The 700 mm width and depth fit neatly on most worktops, while the 305 mm height leaves room for storage beneath. The rounded worktop edges prevent sharp corners that could snag clothing or damage other surfaces during installation. The stainless steel splashguards and front grease channel funnel every drop of fat into the pull-out drawer, so the griddle's surface stays clear for the next batch of pancakes or burgers. After each service, the operator scrapes the plate while it is still warm, then wipes it with a damp cloth once it has cooled. The grease drawer is emptied and rinsed, and the splashguards and front channel are wiped down. The stainless steel surfaces can be sanitised with standard kitchen chemicals without risk of corrosion. The griddle is supplied as a single countertop unit with legs, splashguards, rear flue chimney, grease drainage system and adjustable thermostat.
