A rotating spit grill designed for whole joints and large cuts of meat, the Elangrill ELBA MAI 400 electric brings continuous motion to professional roasting. An electric motor turns the spit at a steady speed, exposing every surface of the meat to the same radiant heat. This method eliminates hot spots and ensures the meat cooks evenly from all sides, while the natural rotation bastes the surface in its own juices for a crisp exterior and moist interior.

The operator loads the meat onto the stainless steel spit, securing it with the supplied forks. Once the grill is switched on, the motor begins turning the spit, and the heating elements maintain the set temperature. The Low-E glass door allows the cooking process to be monitored without opening the chamber, reducing heat loss. A removable fat collection tray catches drippings, simplifying both hygiene and flavour control.

Built from ribbed and reinforced stainless steel, the grill's chamber withstands daily use in busy kitchens. Ceramic insulation lines the walls, keeping the outer body cool to the touch and concentrating heat where it is needed. The 985 mm spit accommodates cuts with a diameter of up to 440 mm, making it suitable for whole pigs, lambs or sizable beef joints.

Controls are straightforward: a power switch starts the motor and heating elements, while a thermostat maintains the chosen temperature. The 10 kW power rating indicates the load on the electrical supply, requiring a dedicated circuit in a professional kitchen.

The footprint of 1211 × 666 mm fits into most commercial work areas, and the height of 753 mm allows the operator to load and unload the spit without stooping. Stainless steel surfaces are wiped down after each service, and the fat tray is removed and cleaned separately. The Low-E glass door is cleaned with a damp cloth to maintain visibility.
