A vertical electric chicken grill cooks poultry evenly by rotating spits in front of radiant heating elements. The rotation exposes every part of the bird to the same heat, browning the skin and sealing the juices without drying the meat. Independent control of each spit allows different items to cook at once, each at its own speed and temperature, while the vertical orientation saves worktop space and lets fat drip away from the food instead of pooling beneath it.
The operator loads each bird onto a stainless steel spit, securing it with the prongs. The spit is then slotted into one of the three motorised positions and the door closed. A separate control for each spit sets the rotation speed and the heating level; the interior light lets the chef monitor progress without opening the door. When the timer signals, the spit is removed and the bird carved directly from it, keeping the work surface clear.
The grill is built from ribbed and reinforced stainless steel, chosen for its resistance to heat, moisture and cleaning chemicals. A Low-E tempered glass door withstands the high temperatures inside while giving a clear view of the cooking process. A removable fat collection bucket slides out for emptying and cleaning, reducing the risk of flare-ups and simplifying hygiene routines.
Each of the three tubular stainless steel spits measures 12 by 12 mm in section and 543 mm in length, providing a stable platform for poultry of varying sizes. The 230 V motor runs quietly and draws a modest load from the kitchen circuit.
A 4.2 kW power rating indicates the grill's demand on the electrical supply; it requires a 400 V three-phase circuit, the standard for professional catering equipment of this size. The 700 mm width, 391 mm depth and 640 mm height create a compact footprint that fits neatly into small and medium kitchens without sacrificing capacity.
Cleaning involves wiping down the stainless steel surfaces with a damp cloth and food-safe sanitiser, removing and washing the fat collection bucket, and brushing any residue from the spits. The glass door can be cleaned with a non-abrasive glass cleaner once the grill has cooled.
The 9P-ELBA electric chicken grill is part of the Elangrill Elba series, designed for small and medium-scale production environments where space and flexibility are priorities.
