A drain pipe nut creates a watertight seal where the waste-water pipe leaves a refrigeration or blast-chilling unit. It threads onto the external stub of the internal drain line, compressing a rubber or silicone washer against the unit's cabinet. This stops condensate and defrost water from leaking into the machinery space or onto the kitchen floor.

The operator fits the nut by hand until it meets resistance, then tightens it with a spanner just enough to flatten the washer without distorting the pipe. Once sealed, the nut remains in place until the pipe is disconnected for deep cleaning or unit relocation.

This nut is a direct replacement for the original part on Tefcold refrigeration and blast-chilling equipment. It is manufactured to the same thread pitch and diameter, ensuring compatibility with the factory-fitted drain stubs.
