A coupling joins two lengths of hose or a hose to a fixed connection in professional catering equipment. It allows liquids or gases to flow without leaks while the hose is attached or detached. The coupling halves lock together with a quick-release mechanism, so operators can swap hoses or disconnect equipment without tools or spillage.
The coupling consists of two parts: a male end that fits into the hose and a female end that accepts it. A spring-loaded collar on the female half snaps over a ridge on the male half, holding the two securely. When the collar is pulled back, the halves separate cleanly. This design keeps the connection tight under pressure but easy to release when needed.
To use the coupling, the operator slides the male end into the hose until it seats fully, then secures it with a clamp or crimp. The female end is attached to the equipment or another hose in the same way. When the two halves are pushed together, the collar clicks into place, sealing the joint. Pulling the collar back releases the connection, allowing the hose to be removed without twisting or strain.
This LF coupling has a 36 mm internal diameter, matching standard hose sizes in commercial kitchens. The coupling is typically made from food-safe materials such as stainless steel or reinforced plastic, chosen for resistance to corrosion and repeated use.
The coupling fits equipment where hoses of 26 mm diameter are used, including water supply lines, steam connections, and some refrigeration systems. It is a standard spare part for maintaining fluid and gas transfer in professional catering setups.
