A popcorn maker heats maize kernels in a sealed kettle until the internal pressure bursts the hull, turning each kernel into a light, expanded snack. The ProPop uses a direct electric element inside the stainless steel kettle to raise the temperature quickly, while the illuminated dome keeps the finished product visible and warm without further cooking.
To operate, load the kettle with maize kernels and oil, then switch on the power. The element heats the kettle, and the kernels pop within minutes. Once the cycle finishes, the kettle tilts forward to release the popcorn onto the warming base, where a lamp maintains temperature and crispness. The operator can remove the glass dome to serve portions directly from the base.
The casing combines stainless steel and aluminium for durability and heat management. The kettle itself is uncoated stainless steel and can be detached for thorough cleaning. A separate warming base and removable glass dome simplify daily upkeep.
Controls are minimal: a single power switch starts the heating cycle. The 230 V supply connects to a standard single-phase circuit, and the compact footprint fits on most worktops without crowding other equipment.
The 400 g capacity produces around fourteen standard portions in each batch, allowing rapid service during peak demand. The unit's weight of 31 kg ensures stability on the counter while remaining manageable for repositioning.
Cleaning involves removing the kettle, glass dome and warming base, then washing each part separately. The stainless steel kettle and casing resist corrosion and staining, while the aluminium components dissipate heat without warping.
The ProPop is categorised under countertop snack equipment in the Neumarker commercial range.
