A convection oven uses a fan to move hot air continuously around the cavity, eliminating cold spots and speeding up cooking. The air absorbs heat from an element, then transfers it evenly to every surface of the food, so dishes brown and bake at the same rate without turning or rotating trays.
The Roll grill F-5 follows this principle in a compact counter-top unit. The operator loads trays or wire racks, sets the temperature up to 250 °C, and starts the fan. The oven maintains the chosen level automatically, circulating air until the timer signals completion. Trays are then removed and the oven is ready for the next batch.
The exterior is constructed from stainless steel, chosen for resistance to corrosion and ease of cleaning in a busy kitchen. The interior cavity matches the material, protecting the fan and element from grease and steam. The door seals against the frame to retain heat and prevent energy loss.
Controls consist of a temperature dial and a timer knob. The dial adjusts the heat level from ambient to 250 °C, while the timer sets the duration of the cooking cycle. An indicator light shows when the oven is active.
The 1.5 kW power rating requires a dedicated 230 V single-phase circuit, typical of professional kitchen installations. The 20 kg weight allows the unit to be moved by two people or a small trolley, while the 495 mm width fits standard worktops and cupboard runs. The 535 mm depth leaves clearance for wall-mounted shelves or extraction canopies above.
Cleaning involves wiping the interior after each service to remove food debris, then washing the trays and racks separately. The stainless steel surfaces can be sanitised with standard kitchen cleaners without risk of damage or discolouration.
The F-5 is a single-cavity model without internal divisions or programmable stages. It is placed in the Roll grill convection oven range, alongside larger and programmable variants.
