Contact grill Casselin CGPRL

The Casselin Panini grill grooved + smooth (article CGPRL) is a contact grill designed for professional use.

This appliance operates by direct contact, with heated plates pressing food from both sides simultaneously. The grooved top plate and smooth bottom plate allow for grilling, imparting characteristic marks on one side while providing a flat sear on the other. Heat is transferred directly from the cast iron plates to the food, cooking it quickly and evenly.

To operate the grill, place food items onto the smooth bottom plate. Close the lid, bringing the grooved top plate into contact with the food. The adjustable thermostat allows the user to set the desired cooking temperature between 50 °C and 300 °C. A heating indicator light signals when the set temperature is reached, and an operating light indicates the unit is switched on. Once cooking is complete, open the lid and remove the food.

The construction features a stainless steel body. The grilling surfaces are made from cast iron, measuring 2 x 335x220 mm, which provides heat retention and distribution. A fat collecting pan is integrated to manage cooking byproducts, and a cleaning brush is supplied for upkeep.

Controls include an adjustable thermostat to set the cooking temperature and an On/Off operating light. A separate heating indicator light shows when the grill is ready for use.

The power rating of 2.2 kW indicates the electrical load the appliance places on the supply. The dimensions are 410 mm in length, 370 mm in width, and 200 mm in height. With a weight of 19 kg, the unit is substantial and should be positioned with care.
