Contact grill Casselin CGPLLPPT

A contact grill presses food between two heated plates, sealing in juices and creating even grill marks on both sides. The top and bottom plates transfer heat directly into the food, cooking it faster than an open grill or frying pan.

The operator sets the adjustable thermostat between 60 °C and 300 °C, then loads food onto the lower plate. The top plate lowers onto the food, applying even pressure while the timer counts down. A fat collecting tray beneath the plates catches drips, keeping the workspace clean. When the timer sounds, the top plate lifts and the food is ready to remove.

The grill is built from stainless steel for durability and hygiene. The top plate measures 255 by 230 mm and the bottom plate 270 by 250 mm, giving a consistent cooking surface. A safety thermostat cuts power if the temperature exceeds safe limits, protecting the appliance and the operator.

The 2 kW power rating means the grill draws a steady load on a standard 230 V circuit, suitable for most professional kitchen setups. At 19 kg, the unit is stable on a worktop but can be moved by one person when needed. Its footprint of 300 by 490 mm fits neatly into small prep areas without crowding other equipment.

Cleaning is straightforward: the fat tray slides out for emptying, and the included cleaning brush removes residue from the plates. The stainless steel surfaces wipe down quickly after use, maintaining hygiene standards between services.

The timer runs on two AAA batteries, which are not supplied. The grill is supplied as a single unit with no variants or additional options.
