| NOTES | Refrigerant gas: R290 |
4 GN 1/1
A refrigerated drop-in countertop unit that holds four GN 1/1 containers at serving temperature without breaking the worktop line. The ROCAM DROP-IN-4PR sits flush into a cut-out, presenting food at counter height while keeping the cold zone hidden beneath the surface.
Static refrigeration relies on a compressor circulating R290 refrigerant through an evaporator coil. Cold air settles naturally over the stored containers, maintaining a steady temperature between 2 °C and 10 °C. Because the system has no fan, it operates quietly and avoids drying out uncovered food. The compressor is mounted either inside the unit or remotely, depending on the chosen variant.
The operator loads the containers into the cavity, sets the digital thermostat to the desired temperature, and leaves the unit to run. A removable Plexiglas frame, 8 cm high, sits on the shelf to contain the cold; when bulky trays or plates are displayed, the frame lifts off. A stainless-steel edge, 3 cm high, runs around the top perimeter to prevent spills from reaching the worktop.
Construction is a stainless-steel structure with a Hanex® worktop. The top measures 1300 mm by 575 mm, while the external footprint is 1496 mm by 747 mm by 420 mm high. The unit weighs 43 kg, allowing it to be moved by two people and positioned on most standard worktops without additional reinforcement.
Controls consist of a single digital thermostat that sets the temperature between 2 °C and 10 °C. The power requirement is 230 V, matching a standard single-phase kitchen circuit. Base power is 0.330 kW, which may increase if optional LED lighting is fitted.
Temperature range of 2 °C to 10 °C suits holding chilled prepared food, cold desserts and plated salads. The 1496 mm width accommodates four GN 1/1 containers side by side, making it compatible with standard gastronorm serving layouts. The 420 mm height keeps the food at counter level for easy access by staff and customers.
Cleaning involves removing the Plexiglas frame and wiping the stainless-steel surfaces and worktop with a damp cloth. The frame itself can be washed separately. The compressor and evaporator coil require periodic vacuuming to maintain airflow, but no disassembly is needed for routine upkeep.
Two variants are available: one with the refrigeration unit built in, and one without, ready for remote connection. Optional accessories include LED lighting, tempered-glass sneeze-guards in straight or inclined profiles, closed glass displays for assisted service, removable display grids, spacers for GN tanks, a drain-water system for saladette counters, and a 60 Hz compressor for export markets.
The unit is catalogued under refrigerated countertop drop-ins for professional catering.
