Polished stainless steel chafing dish with roll top lid 180°
A chafing dish keeps hot food at serving temperature without overcooking or drying it out. The alcohol burner beneath the water pan heats the water gently, creating steam that rises into the food pan above. This indirect, moist heat prevents scorching and maintains the texture and flavour of dishes throughout long service periods.
To use the FORCAR CD6502, fill the lower water pan with hot water and place the food pan inside. Light the alcohol burner and slide it under the water pan. Close the hinged roll-top lid to retain heat and steam. The lid opens to a full 180° for easy access when replenishing or serving. Once the burner is extinguished, the unit cools gradually, allowing safe handling and cleaning.
The CD6502 is constructed from polished stainless steel, chosen for its resistance to corrosion and ease of cleaning in a busy kitchen. The hinged lid is also stainless steel, with a smooth roll-top mechanism that operates without sharp edges or exposed hinges. The alcohol burner is a separate, removable component that slots into a dedicated recess beneath the water pan.
The 650 mm length and 485 mm width provide a generous footprint that accommodates standard gastronorm pans and large serving quantities. The 8.5 litre volume allows the dish to hold substantial portions of soups, stews, or sauces, making it suitable for buffets, banquets, or continuous service in restaurants and hotels.
Cleaning is straightforward: remove the food and water pans, wash them in warm soapy water, and wipe down the stainless steel exterior with a damp cloth. The alcohol burner should be emptied of any remaining fuel and cleaned separately to prevent residue build-up. Regular maintenance ensures the polished finish remains free of tarnish and the hinged lid continues to operate smoothly.
The CD6502 is a roll-top chafing dish, a variant designed for ease of access and compact storage when not in use. Its elegant appearance makes it suitable for front-of-house service as well as back-of-house food holding.
