A boiler-pump pressure gauge provides live readings of water pressure in the boiler and pump circuits of an espresso machine. The gauge mounts on the front panel or side of the machine, where the barista can watch the needle rise as the pump builds pressure and the boiler heats. Steady pressure is essential for consistent extraction; too low and the coffee runs weak, too high and the machine strains or the coffee tastes bitter. The 60 mm dial gives a clear, uncluttered view so the operator can adjust the pump or check the boiler without interrupting service.
To use the gauge, the barista first ensures the machine is switched off and the boiler is cool. The old gauge is unscrewed and removed, taking care not to damage the thread. The new LF gauge is screwed into the same port, hand-tightened and then secured with a spanner to prevent leaks. Once the machine is powered on, the needle settles at the resting pressure of the pump. As the pump engages to brew, the needle climbs to the working pressure—typically set by the machine's pressurestat or pump regulator—and holds steady while the shot is pulled. After the shot, the needle drops back to resting pressure, ready for the next cycle.
The gauge body is machined from brass for corrosion resistance and durability under continuous heat and moisture. The face is protected by a clear polycarbonate window that resists scratching and fogging. A standard ¼-inch BSP thread allows direct mounting to the pressure port on the boiler or pump manifold without adapters.
This LF gauge fits a wide range of professional espresso machines, including models from CAPRI, FUTURMAT-ARIETE, GAGGIA QUALITY ESPRESSO, ITALCREM, MAIRALI, QUALITY ESPRESSO and VISACREM. It is listed in the catalogue under boiler and pump spares for espresso equipment.
