A three-sector catering basket divides a single round frame into three equal compartments, allowing different ingredients or dishes to be kept separate while sharing the same footprint. The basket sits inside larger containers such as sinks, bain-maries or trolleys, or is lifted by hand between workstations. Each sector holds its contents without spilling into the next, so staff can organise multiple items in one movement and reduce the number of trips across the kitchen.
The operator loads each sector individually, stacking plates, bowls or loose items up to the rim. Once filled, the basket is lifted by its rim or carried on a flat tray. In use, the three compartments keep sauces, garnishes or accompaniments distinct, preventing cross-contamination and speeding up plating. When empty, the basket nests with others of the same size, saving cupboard space.
Construction is a single round frame of stainless steel wire, welded at every joint for rigidity. The three internal dividers are the same wire gauge and finish, creating a uniform surface that resists corrosion and is easy to wipe clean. The rim is rolled for strength and safety, with no sharp edges.
The 500 mm diameter matches standard gastronorm containers and sinks, so the basket drops straight into place without adjustment. The 410 mm height allows stacking inside standard trolleys and still clears most worktop splashbacks. The 100 litre volume is the combined capacity of the three sectors, giving a practical measure of how much the basket can carry in a single lift.
Cleaning follows from the open wire construction: food debris falls through the gaps, and the smooth stainless steel surface can be rinsed under a tap or run through a dishwasher. No crevices trap residue, so upkeep is a quick wipe or spray after each service.
