Black knob LF L3241401

A black control knob of 70 mm diameter that replaces worn or missing knobs on professional catering appliances. It fits the standardised shaft found on gas and electric hobs, ovens, grills, fryers and bain-maries from a wide range of manufacturers.

The knob transmits the operator's twist to the valve or potentiometer inside the appliance. A central grub screw clamps the knob onto the shaft, converting finger pressure into precise rotational movement. This allows the user to set the flame height on a gas burner or the power level on an electric element without tools or slippage.

To install, the operator aligns the knob's splined or D-shaped bore with the shaft, slides it on until it seats, then tightens the grub screw with a small hex key. Once secured, the knob turns smoothly through its full range, giving tactile feedback at each detent or stop. On gas appliances, the knob often incorporates a push-and-turn safety interlock that prevents accidental ignition.

The knob is moulded in heat-resistant black polymer, chosen for durability under repeated use and exposure to kitchen heat and cleaning chemicals. The surface is textured to provide grip even when hands are wet or greasy.
