16(4)A 250V - with indicator light
max. temperature 120°C
mounting hole 22x30 mm
A push-button bipolar switch isolates both live and neutral circuits with a single press, stopping current flow completely when the appliance is not in use. This double-break action gives added safety in wet environments where moisture can bridge a single pole, and it meets the wiring standards of professional kitchens that require full disconnection for maintenance and cleaning.
The operator presses the green button to start the dishwasher or glasswasher cycle; the button latches in and the machine runs until the programme ends, at which point the button pops out and the circuit opens. No separate on-off switch is needed, so the switch itself becomes the main control for the appliance.
Construction is a moulded thermoplastic body with nickel-plated brass contacts rated 16 A at 250 V. The green button is back-lit when the circuit is live, giving a clear visual signal that the machine is powered.
The 16 A rating matches the supply circuit of commercial dishwashers and glasswashers, allowing the switch to handle the full load without overheating. The 250 V rating covers the standard UK single-phase supply, so the switch can be wired directly to the incoming mains without a transformer or voltage converter.
Cleaning is limited to wiping the button and housing with a damp cloth; no solvents or abrasives should be used on the thermoplastic surface.
This switch fits SINCRO and UNIVERBAR dishwashers and glasswashers, specifically models BET 37, BET 37D, BET 40, BET 40D, ERGON, MIX and TOP.
