A wiring harness carries the electrical signals that regulate temperature in refrigerated counters and display cases. Each wire connects a sensor, thermostat or compressor relay to the control board, allowing the unit to maintain the set cooling range. Without a secure, correctly routed harness, the refrigeration cycle cannot start or stop on demand, risking food spoilage or excessive energy use.
The operator does not interact directly with the harness; it is installed inside the refrigeration unit during assembly or repair. The technician disconnects the power, opens the control panel, removes the old harness if present, and routes the new one along the manufacturer's designated path. Each connector is plugged into its matching socket on the control board and at the sensor or relay. Once the panel is closed and power restored, the refrigeration unit resumes normal operation without further adjustment.
This harness is constructed from multi-strand copper conductors sheathed in colour-coded PVC insulation. The connectors are moulded to prevent moisture ingress and ensure a tight fit. It is designed to fit refrigerated counters and display cases with section counts from one half to four and a half sections and temperature ranges of -5 °C to +8 °C or -20 °C to +18 °C, as specified in the reference models.
The harness is a direct replacement for the original part in the listed BHS refrigeration units, ensuring compatibility with the existing control system and sensors.
