A percolator boiler heats water by passing it through a heating element at the base. The element raises the temperature until the thermostat cuts in, holding the water at the set point without boiling over. This method gives fast, even heating and keeps the water ready for immediate use, which is essential in a busy kitchen where hot water is drawn repeatedly throughout service.
The operator fills the boiler through the top opening, sets the thermostat to the required temperature up to 110 °C, and switches on. Once the water reaches the set point, the thermostat cycles the element to maintain it. The non-drip tap allows measured dispensing without spillage, and the insulated handles let the operator move the unit safely while it is hot.
The boiler is built from stainless steel for the tank and polypropylene for the outer casing and tap. These materials resist corrosion and are easy to clean, which is important in a professional environment where hygiene is critical.
The thermostat controls the water temperature, adjustable up to 110 °C. This range covers boiling water for tea and coffee, as well as the lower temperatures needed for mulled wine.
A 2.5 kW power rating means the boiler draws a moderate load on a standard 230 V circuit, suitable for most commercial kitchens without requiring a dedicated supply. The 25 litre volume provides enough hot water for continuous service without frequent refilling, while the compact footprint of 435 by 441 by 500 mm fits on a worktop or shelf. The 4.42 kg weight allows the unit to be carried by one person when empty.
Cleaning involves draining the tank through the tap, wiping the interior with a non-abrasive cloth, and rinsing. The polypropylene casing and tap can be wiped with a damp cloth. The non-drip tap should be checked periodically to ensure it closes fully and does not leak.
This model is a single version in white, designed for general use in catering environments. It is not intended for making hot chocolate, as the temperature range and construction are not suitable for thicker liquids.
