The HNPA exhaust hood with cyclonic filtration technology ensures up to 95% grease removal efficiency. Made of stainless steel (0.8–1.0 mm), fireproof, and dishwasher-safe. Available with LED lighting and an optional Air Jet system, it reduces energy use and improves airflow efficiency in professional kitchens.
A professional cooker hood that removes grease particles from the air using centrifugal force, keeping kitchen ductwork cleaner and reducing fire risk. The HNPA 800 from Novameta uses cyclonic filtration technology, where air spirals through a stainless-steel chamber and heavier grease droplets are flung against the walls by the same force that keeps water in a spinning bucket. This method separates up to 95% of airborne grease without relying on disposable filters, cutting maintenance and improving hygiene.
The hood draws contaminated air through a single cyclonic grease filter, where the swirling motion forces particles to adhere to the inner surface. Cleaned air then passes into the exhaust collar and is vented outside. An adjustable damper in the exhaust path allows the operator to balance airflow against kitchen pressure, preventing cold draughts or heat loss. The hood can be linked to others in a multiple-hood assembly for larger cooking lines, and the airflow rate is calculated by ventilation specialists to match the kitchen volume and cooking load.
Operation begins by switching on the built-in LED lighting, which illuminates the worktop below. The operator starts the extraction fan and adjusts the damper if needed. During cooking, grease collects on the filter walls and drips into a removable tray beneath. After service, the tray is taken out, emptied and washed, while the cyclonic filter itself is dishwasher-safe and can be cleaned without disassembly.
The HNPA 800 is constructed from 0.8–1.0 mm AISI 304 stainless steel throughout, including the filter, tray and exterior panels. The powder-coated exterior resists scratches and corrosion, and the IP65-rated LED lighting is sealed against moisture and steam. A single grease filter serves the entire hood, simplifying upkeep. The exhaust collar measures 315 mm in diameter, matching standard ducting, and the hood footprint is 800 mm wide, 600 mm deep and 480 mm high.
Controls consist of a light switch and an exhaust damper lever. The light switch toggles the LED array, which provides 500 lux at the work surface, while the damper adjusts the volume of air drawn through the hood, allowing fine-tuning for different cooking volumes and kitchen layouts.
The 675 m³/h maximum airflow rate indicates the volume of air the hood can move each hour, determining its suitability for kitchens of moderate size and cooking intensity. The 800 mm width fits standard worktop arrangements and can be extended in 10 mm increments to match custom layouts. The IP65 protection class ensures the lighting and electrical components are safe from water jets and steam, while the stainless-steel construction withstands daily cleaning with detergents and steam.
Cleaning involves removing the grease tray, emptying it and washing it in a sink or dishwasher. The cyclonic filter is dishwasher-safe and can be cleaned in the same way. Exterior surfaces are wiped down with a damp cloth and mild detergent, and the exhaust damper is checked for free movement. No disposable filters are required, reducing ongoing costs and waste.
Variants include wall-mounted and island configurations, and the hood can be ordered in widths from 700 mm to 1400 mm in 10 mm steps. Optional decorative cover panels allow the hood to blend with kitchen aesthetics, and an Air Jet system can be added to improve capture efficiency by up to 20% while lowering energy use.
The HNPA 800 is positioned in the professional ventilation section of the catalogue, designed for commercial kitchens in hotels, restaurants and catering operations where hygiene, fire safety and energy efficiency are priorities.
