Under-sink fixing kit with O-ring MONOLITH R0000000088

An under-sink fixing kit secures a tap to the worktop or sink deck from below. A threaded shank passes through the hole, and the kit clamps it tightly against the surface. The o-ring seals the joint to prevent water leaking into the cupboard. Without this seal, splashes or condensation could run down the shank and damage the cabinet over time.

The kit is fitted after the tap is positioned. The operator slides the o-ring onto the shank, lowers the shank through the hole, then threads the fixing kit onto the shank from underneath. A nut or clamp plate is tightened until the tap is held firmly and the o-ring is compressed enough to form a watertight seal. Once secured, the tap remains stable during use and resists loosening from repeated turning of the handle.
