Tray guides convert a plain catering rack into an organised storage and transport system for sheet pans, gastronorm trays and serving platters. Each guide consists of horizontal rails that clip onto the vertical uprights of the rack. The rails create evenly spaced shelves that prevent trays from sliding or tilting during movement, reducing spills and breakage in a busy kitchen.
The operator loads trays by sliding them horizontally into the gap between two adjacent rails. Once in place, the trays rest on the lower rail and are held in position by the upper rail, allowing multiple trays to be stacked vertically without touching each other. This arrangement speeds up loading and unloading, keeps trays level during transit, and makes it easy to identify and retrieve the correct tray without disturbing the others.
Novameta Tray Guides Z are constructed from stainless steel for hygiene and durability in a commercial environment. The guides fit standard catering racks with compatible upright spacing and are supplied as a set that spans the full width of the rack.
The 600 mm width matches the common rack dimension, allowing the guides to support full-size gastronorm trays without overhang. The 335 mm depth provides clearance for standard tray depths, while the 450 mm height allows multiple guides to be installed at the required spacing for the trays in use.
Cleaning involves wiping the rails with a damp cloth and a mild detergent after each service to remove food debris and grease. The smooth stainless steel surface resists staining and does not require seasoning or protective coatings.
These guides are placed in the catalogue under rack accessories and storage organisation.
