A table base forms the load-bearing frame beneath a catering worktop, transferring the weight of food, equipment and utensils to the floor. The column and feet create a stable tripod that resists wobble, while the mounting plate provides a flat surface on which the worktop rests. Adjustable feet compensate for uneven floors, keeping the work surface level and safe for food preparation.

The operator unpacks the parts—base ring, column, mounting plate and feet—aligns the column with the ring, and secures it with the supplied screws. The mounting plate is then fixed to the top of the column, again using the screws provided. Four adjustable feet screw into the base ring; turning them raises or lowers each corner until the plate is perfectly horizontal. Once the base is assembled and levelled, the worktop is placed on the plate and secured with separate screws that are not included in the set.

The base ring and column are made from AISI 201 stainless steel with a brushed finish, chosen for its resistance to corrosion and ease of cleaning in a busy kitchen. The mounting plate is 250 mm square, 3 mm thick black-painted steel, providing a sturdy platform for the worktop. The entire assembly stands 1100 mm high, a standard worktop height in professional kitchens, and the base footprint is 450 mm in diameter, allowing the unit to fit into tight spaces while still supporting tops up to 700 mm square.

Four adjustable feet at the base allow the operator to fine-tune the height of each corner, ensuring the worktop remains level even on sloping floors. The 15.5 kg weight keeps the base stable under load without making it difficult to move when the worktop is removed.

The base is supplied as a flat-pack for self-assembly. An optional extra-height version is available for taller work surfaces.
