A table base supports a solid worktop at a comfortable working height while leaving the floor beneath clear for cleaning and foot traffic. The column transfers the weight of the top and any load on it down to a wide circular foot that spreads the pressure across the floor. A flat mounting plate at the top gives a stable platform for the worktop, and the chrome-plated finish resists corrosion and wipes clean after service.
The base arrives in parts for self-assembly: a central column, a circular foot, a square mounting plate and the screws that join them. Once assembled, the column stands 1100 mm high, placing the worktop at standard worktop height. The foot is 550 mm in diameter, giving a firm stance without taking up unnecessary floor space. A 76 mm diameter column keeps the profile slim while still carrying the weight of a professional worktop and the equipment placed on it.
To assemble, the operator fits the column into the foot, secures the mounting plate to the top of the column, and levels the base by adjusting the feet on the underside of the circular foot. The worktop is then placed on the 250 x 250 mm mounting plate and fixed with screws, which are not supplied with the base. The plate is 3 mm thick, providing a rigid surface that prevents the worktop from flexing under load.
The base is made from chrome-plated steel, with a black painted steel mounting plate. The lower base is available in either 1.4 mm or 2.0 mm steel thickness, allowing a choice between lighter weight and greater durability. The chrome plating protects the steel from corrosion and makes the base easy to clean with a damp cloth. The black painted mounting plate provides a contrasting surface that hides scratches and wear.
The base is designed to support worktops with a maximum diameter of 700 mm, though it can accommodate tops up to 900 mm in diameter if additional stability is required. The 7 kg weight makes the base easy to move into position before assembly, while the wide foot ensures it remains stable once in place.
For kitchens requiring a different height, the base can be ordered in alternative heights. The finish can also be customised according to the RAL colour palette, allowing the base to match the kitchen's colour scheme. An optional 4 kg cast iron weight can be added to the foot for extra stability, and a round aluminium adapter is available for mounting glass worktops.
