A serving trolley keeps hot or chilled plated dishes within reach of the pass, letting front-of-house staff collect orders without crowding the kitchen. The unit rolls on its own wheel set, so it can be positioned where the service flow needs it and moved aside when the rush ends. Soundproofing gaskets on the shelves reduce clatter from crockery and cutlery, keeping noise levels down in open-plan dining areas.
The operator loads each shelf with plated dishes, trays or bulk containers up to the stated load limit. The trolley is then wheeled to the service point; the two braked wheels hold it steady while plates are transferred. When service is complete, the trolley returns to the wash-down area for cleaning.
The frame and shelves are welded stainless steel, chosen for corrosion resistance and ease of sanitising. A plastic protective barrier runs around the perimeter of each shelf, preventing items from sliding off during transit. Four galvanised wheels—two of them with brakes—carry the load and allow smooth movement across tiled or vinyl kitchen floors.
Each shelf holds up to 50 kg, so the trolley can transport multiple courses or bulk containers without risk of deformation. The overall footprint of 80 × 65 cm fits through standard kitchen doorways and service corridors, while the 93 cm height keeps the top shelf within comfortable reach for most staff.
Cleaning is limited to wiping the stainless steel surfaces with a damp cloth and approved sanitiser; the soundproofing gaskets can be lifted for thorough cleaning underneath. The plastic barrier and wheels are wiped down separately to remove food debris and grease.
The Novameta VTS2 is catalogued under serving and transport equipment for professional kitchens.
