A cooling element designed to extend the freshness of displayed food in professional catering trays. Instead of relying on ambient air, the element absorbs heat from the surrounding area, slowing the rise in temperature and preserving the quality of chilled products. The process works through a gel that holds cold, releasing it gradually to maintain a stable, cool environment around the tray.

To prepare the element, place it in a freezer for several hours before use. Once chilled, it is positioned beneath or beside the display tray, where it draws warmth away from the food. The gel remains effective until it reaches room temperature, after which it must be refrozen to restore its cooling capacity. This cycle can be repeated indefinitely, making the element a reusable part of refrigerated display setups.

The operator loads the element into the freezer, waits for it to chill, then transfers it to the display area. No settings or adjustments are required; the element works passively, requiring only periodic refreezing to maintain performance.

Constructed as a sealed cartridge, the element contains a mixture of water and sodium polyacrylate, a gel that expands when hydrated and retains cold efficiently. The outer casing is lightweight and easy to handle, with smooth surfaces that simplify cleaning.

Measuring 430 mm long, 280 mm wide and 30 mm high, the element fits standard display trays without taking excessive space. At 3.016 kg, it is light enough to move between freezer and display area without strain, yet substantial enough to provide consistent cooling.

Cleaning involves wiping the surface with a damp cloth; no disassembly or special agents are needed. The gel inside is sealed and does not require maintenance. After use, the element is returned to the freezer to recharge for the next service.
