An upper shelf for a double worktable creates additional workspace above the main bench without increasing the footprint. It mounts directly to the uprights of the table frame, leaving the worktop clear for food preparation while providing a stable surface for ingredients, utensils or small appliances that need to stay within reach but off the main surface.

The shelf is fixed in place, so it does not move or tilt under load. Its height above the worktop is set by the table's frame, allowing the operator to slide trays or containers underneath without obstruction. Because it is open on all sides, air circulates freely, preventing condensation on stored items and making cleaning straightforward.

Loading is simple: place items on the shelf surface. The welded construction and reinforced edges prevent sagging, so weight is distributed evenly across the full width. There are no controls or settings; the shelf is purely a static storage platform.

Made of AISI 304 stainless steel, the shelf resists corrosion from moisture and cleaning chemicals. The surface is smooth and seamless, with no crevices where debris can collect. Welded joints add strength and eliminate sharp corners that could trap food particles.

The shelf measures 1300 mm in length, 300 mm in depth and 700 mm in height. Its width can vary by up to 5% from the stated dimension to accommodate slight variations in table frames. The 1300 mm length matches standard double worktables, ensuring full coverage across both sections of the bench.

Cleaning involves wiping the shelf with a damp cloth and mild detergent. Because there are no moving parts or electrical components, maintenance is limited to checking that mounting brackets remain tight and that the shelf surface stays free of dents or scratches that could harbour bacteria.
