A refrigerated drawer designed specifically for storing milk maintains a steady, chilled environment without freezing. The cooling system circulates refrigerant through a concealed evaporator coil, pulling heat from the interior and expelling it at the rear. This continuous cycle keeps the air inside at the set temperature, preserving milk freshness and slowing bacterial growth. The drawer format allows horizontal access, so crates or bottles can be slid in and out without lifting, reducing strain on staff and minimising the risk of spills during busy service periods.

To use the drawer, the operator first ensures the unit is plugged into a dedicated 230 V circuit. The temperature is pre-set within the +2 to +6 °C range, so no adjustment is needed for standard milk storage. Removable partitions are positioned to create sections for different container sizes or to separate batches. Once the partitions are in place, crates or bottles are loaded into the drawer, which is then closed to maintain the chilled environment. The drawer remains closed during service to prevent warm air from entering, and stock is rotated on a first-in, first-out basis to ensure consistent freshness.

The exterior is constructed from powder-coated steel, providing a durable, corrosion-resistant surface that withstands frequent cleaning and kitchen humidity. The interior lining is smooth and non-porous, allowing easy wipe-downs to remove spills or condensation. Removable partitions simplify deep cleaning, as they can be taken out and washed separately. The 660 mm width and 670 mm depth accommodate standard milk crates, while the 860 mm height allows stacking of multiple layers without exceeding worktop height. The 293 W power rating reflects the load on the electrical circuit, which is modest enough for most commercial kitchen setups but requires a dedicated socket to avoid overloading shared lines.

Cleaning involves daily wiping of the interior and partitions with a mild detergent solution, followed by a dry cloth to prevent moisture build-up. The exterior is cleaned with a damp cloth, avoiding abrasive pads that could damage the powder-coated finish. The drawer's construction eliminates sharp corners or hard-to-reach areas, reducing the risk of trapped debris or bacterial growth. The unit is positioned in a well-ventilated area to allow heat from the condenser to dissipate, ensuring efficient operation and prolonging the lifespan of the cooling system.
