A refrigerated display cabinet keeps chilled food visible and accessible while maintaining safe holding temperatures. The MINIMAL DROP-IN COMPACTO MI-6 uses static cooling: a refrigeration unit circulates cold air naturally inside the cabinet without forced fans. This method reduces moving parts and noise, relying on convection currents to distribute the chill evenly across the shelves. The refrigerant, R600a, absorbs heat from the interior and releases it at the condenser, steadily removing warmth from the food without drying it out.

To use the cabinet, slide up to six GN1/3 gastronorm trays into the guides. The electronic controller is set to the desired temperature between +2 °C and +6 °C; the sensors then hold that level automatically. LED lighting switches on, illuminating the contents through tempered-glass panels that resist impacts and thermal stress. The hinged glass front opens for restocking or cleaning, giving full access to the interior.

The cabinet is built on a stainless-steel frame clad in white panels. Tempered glass forms the front, sides and top, allowing customers to view the food while protecting it from ambient heat. The static cooling system sits beneath the worktop, drawing air in at the base and expelling it at the rear. Electronic sensors monitor the temperature continuously, adjusting the refrigeration cycle to keep the interior within the set range.

A cooling power of 180 W and an equipment power of 90 W indicate the load the cabinet places on the electrical supply. The 230 V connection requires a standard single-phase circuit, suitable for most professional kitchens and front-of-house areas. The 1190 mm width, 410 mm depth and 380 mm height define the footprint on the counter or island, accommodating six GN1/3 trays in a compact linear arrangement.

Cleaning involves wiping the tempered-glass surfaces with a mild detergent and soft cloth. The hinged front panel lifts off for deeper access, allowing the stainless-steel tray guides and interior walls to be sanitised. The static cooling system needs occasional dusting of the condenser coils at the rear to maintain efficiency.
