A transportation trolley-platform moves heavy or bulky loads across kitchen floors without lifting. The flat deck rests on four wheels, two of which lock to hold the trolley in place while items are loaded or unloaded. This design spreads the weight evenly, preventing tipping and reducing strain on the operator. The platform itself provides a stable surface for trays, containers or stacked goods, allowing them to be rolled rather than carried between preparation, cooking and service areas.
To use the trolley, the operator unlocks the braking wheels, positions the platform under the load, then slides or lifts the items onto the deck. Once loaded, the brakes are reapplied to secure the trolley. The protective barrier around the perimeter keeps items from sliding off during movement. When the destination is reached, the brakes are released and the trolley is rolled into place, then locked again while the load is removed.
The deck measures 700 mm by 550 mm, giving a footprint large enough for standard gastronorm trays or multiple smaller containers. The overall height of 928 mm places the deck at a comfortable working level for most operators. Four 125 mm wheels, two with brakes, support the platform and allow smooth movement across kitchen floors. The load capacity of 200 kg accommodates bulk ingredients, stacked dishes or heavy equipment without risk of overloading.
Construction is a welded steel frame with a flat steel deck and a tubular steel barrier. The wheels are fitted with durable tyres designed for frequent use on hard surfaces. The braking mechanism on two wheels is operated by foot, leaving the operator's hands free to steady the load.
Cleaning is straightforward: the flat deck and barrier can be wiped down with a damp cloth or sanitising solution after each use. The wheels should be checked periodically for debris that could impede movement or braking.
