A planetary mixer draws its tools in two overlapping circles, scraping the bowl sides while folding the ingredients from the centre. This motion aerates batters, kneads dough evenly and emulsifies sauces without overworking them, giving consistent texture across every batch.
The operator lowers the stainless steel bowl onto the base, locks it in place and selects the tool: a hook for bread dough, a shovel for cake batters or a frother for meringues and creams. The inverter-driven motor starts at a gentle speed to incorporate dry ingredients, then accelerates to the chosen setting. A timer counts down the mixing cycle; when it expires the motor stops and the bowl can be lifted clear with the mechanical lever.
The BULL20C is built from sandblasted powder-coated steel that resists kitchen knocks and spills. A removable wire grille over the bowl opening keeps fingers clear while allowing ingredients to be added mid-cycle. The control panel carries a speed dial, a start button and a digital timer.
A 1.1 kW motor draws current from a single-phase 230 V supply, the standard circuit in British commercial kitchens. The 20 L bowl holds enough for small to medium batches; a 12 L bowl is available for lighter tasks. The unit measures 500 mm wide, 680 mm deep and 1250 mm high, fitting under most worktop canopies when used as a table model. At 130 kg it requires two people to move, so it is usually positioned once and left in place.
Cleaning is limited to the parts the entry names: the stainless steel bowl and tools go through the dishwasher; the wire grille lifts off for rinsing; the powder-coated body is wiped down with a damp cloth. The inverter and motor housing are sealed and never opened in routine upkeep.
Variants include floor and table models; additional bowls and tools are listed as separate articles. The BULL20C accepts a 10 L reduction kit for smaller batches.
