80 l planetary mixer suitable for kneading light doughs as well as for beating egg whites, cream, sponge batters, etc.
A planetary mixer features a fixed bowl paired with a beater that orbits the bowl while rotating. This movement ensures thorough mixing, handling everything from delicate egg whites to firm bread doughs efficiently in a professional kitchen setting.
The operator secures the bowl to the base and selects the appropriate attachment—whisk, paddle or dough hook. The inverter-controlled motor begins at a low speed to blend dry ingredients without spillage, then adjusts to the preset speed for the required duration. A safety mechanism checks the bowl and its hinged cover, ensuring the motor only operates when both are properly positioned. Up to 100 programmable routines can be stored, each with five phases, allowing a full mixing cycle to run automatically.
Constructed with a cast-iron gear housing, the BULL B80 L houses a steel crown-and-pinion transmission in an oil bath. This design reduces wear and noise by keeping the gears lubricated and cool. For settings requiring extra durability, a stainless-steel version is offered.
An electronic keypad, available as an option, displays speed, remaining time and the active programme. Without the keypad, the mixer still provides variable speed control via a front-panel dial.
Powered by a 3 kW motor, the mixer runs on a 400 V three-phase supply, typical for commercial kitchen equipment. The 80 litre bowl accommodates large batches, while the dimensions fit standard worktop spaces. Weighing between 277 kg and 313 kg, the unit is typically mounted on a trolley or secured to the floor to prevent movement during use.
Maintenance involves cleaning the removable stainless-steel bowl and attachments separately. The exterior can be wiped with a damp cloth, and the oil-bath transmission requires only periodic oil level checks via the sight glass on the gear housing.
