Hot water dispenser with a single wall and a volume of 20 liters
A hot water dispenser draws cold mains water into a heated tank, where an electric element raises the temperature to near boiling. The heat is spread evenly by natural convection, so every litre reaches the same temperature without stirring. Once the set point is reached, the element cycles on and off to hold the water ready for instant use, cutting the wait for tea or mulled wine to seconds instead of minutes.
Fill the 18 litre tank from the tap, switch the unit on, and set the desired temperature between 94 °C and 99 °C. The element heats the water while the built-in boil-dry protection prevents damage if the tank runs empty. When the water reaches the chosen temperature, the dispenser holds it there until the tap is opened. Draw off the exact amount needed, then close the tap; the remaining water stays hot and ready for the next use.
The body is a single-layer stainless steel tank and outer casing, chosen for heat retention and resistance to corrosion in a busy kitchen. The footprint of 385 mm square fits on a standard worktop or shelf, while the 595 mm height keeps the tap within easy reach. At 3.91 kg, the unit can be lifted by one person and moved between stations without tools.
A 2.2 kW element draws a steady load on a 230 V circuit, so the dispenser should be plugged into a dedicated socket that can supply the full current without tripping. The 18 litre volume gives enough capacity for continuous service in a café or staff room, while the 94-99 °C range is tailored for tea and mulled wine; the lower end avoids scalding delicate leaves, and the upper end extracts the full flavour from spices.
Cleaning is limited to wiping the stainless steel surfaces with a damp cloth and descaling the tank at intervals with a food-safe agent. The single-layer wall simplifies access for maintenance, and the boil-dry protection reduces the risk of mineral build-up from repeated emptying.
The HENDI 209899 is a single model without variants. It is categorised under hot-water appliances in the professional catering catalogue.
