Hot water dispenser with a single wall and a volume of 9 liters
This hot water dispenser provides near-boiling water for tea, mulled wine and similar drinks without needing a separate kettle. The internal heating element warms the water directly, maintaining a consistent temperature while minimising energy waste. The sealed tank prevents evaporation and keeps the water free from airborne contaminants in a busy kitchen environment.
To operate, pour cold water into the tank through the top opening, secure the lid and activate the unit. The heating element warms the water, indicated by a pilot light. Once the water reaches the desired temperature, the thermostat switches off the element. A front-mounted tap allows hot water to be drawn without exposing the tank, preserving heat for subsequent use. A safety mechanism prevents the element from operating if the water level drops too low, avoiding potential damage.
The tank and outer casing are constructed from single-layer stainless steel, offering durability and simple maintenance. The unit stands on four feet, elevating it above the work surface to protect the area beneath from heat.
A single rocker switch on the front panel controls the dispenser. Switching it on initiates the heating cycle, while turning it off stops the process. The thermostat maintains the water temperature between 94 °C and 99 °C, with no additional settings available.
With a 2.2 kW power rating, the dispenser requires a dedicated circuit in a professional kitchen. It operates on a standard 230 V supply. The 9 litre capacity ensures sufficient hot water for service without refilling, and its 2.88 kg weight allows easy relocation by one person. The compact dimensions of 370 mm by 332 mm fit most worktops, leaving room for cups and ingredients.
Maintenance involves cleaning the specified parts. Wipe the stainless steel surfaces with a damp cloth and mild detergent after each use. Empty and rinse the tank weekly to prevent limescale, using descaling solution if needed, as per the manufacturer's guidelines. Regularly inspect the tap for leaks and ensure it functions smoothly.
This model is not designed for making hot chocolate, as the temperature range is insufficient to dissolve the powder completely.
