A neutral serving module provides a continuous stainless steel worktop between kitchen and service areas, allowing hot and cold dishes to be assembled, garnished and held at the correct temperature without transferring between separate counters.
The unit stands as a rigid frame clad in stainless steel sheet. Shelves inside the module support trays, plates or bulk containers while the smooth worktop above gives a hygienic surface for final plating. Because the module is neutral, it carries no heating or cooling elements of its own; it relies on adjacent hot or refrigerated counters to maintain food temperatures. The open design lets staff move along the length of the counter without stepping around equipment, speeding service during peak periods.
To use the module, operators load each shelf with the required containers or trays, ensuring the weight is evenly spread. The worktop is then used for assembling dishes, adding garnishes or holding serving utensils. At the end of service, shelves are cleared and the entire surface is cleaned with food-safe sanitiser.
Construction is stainless steel throughout, chosen for corrosion resistance and ease of cleaning. The frame and cladding are welded for rigidity, while the worktop is a single sheet with rolled edges to prevent spills from running onto the floor.
The 3800 mm length creates a continuous run that can link multiple hot or refrigerated counters, reducing the number of separate units needed in a busy kitchen. A width of 700 mm keeps the module within standard worktop depths, allowing staff to reach across without stretching. The 900 mm height matches most professional counter lines, ensuring a level surface when the module is placed between other equipment.
Each shelf supports up to 120 kg when the load is evenly distributed, allowing heavy bulk containers or multiple stacked trays to be stored inside the unit. This capacity is sufficient for a full service period without needing to restock mid-shift.
Cleaning involves wiping the worktop and shelves with a damp cloth and approved sanitiser after each use. The stainless steel surfaces resist staining and do not absorb food odours, so daily cleaning maintains hygiene standards. The open frame design prevents dirt traps, and the absence of heating or cooling elements simplifies maintenance compared to active modules.
