A guide rail module creates a sliding track for gastronorm containers, letting kitchen staff load and unload trays of food without lifting. The rails support the container's flanged rim, so each tray slides smoothly into place and stays level while the rack is moved. This system keeps food secure during transport between prep areas, ovens, chillers and service counters, reducing spills and manual handling.
The operator slides each GN1/1 container into the module from the front, aligning the flange with the rails. Once all seven positions are filled, the entire rack can be wheeled or carried to its next station. The rails prevent containers from shifting sideways, so stacked food stays organised and accessible. When the rack reaches its destination, each container slides out in the same order it was loaded, ready for plating or further processing.
Construction is stainless steel, chosen for hygiene and durability in professional kitchens. The rails are fixed to vertical supports, forming a rigid frame that fits standardised gastronorm spacing. The module's footprint matches common worktop depths, allowing it to slot into existing kitchen layouts without wasted space.
The module holds seven GN1/1 containers, a capacity that suits batch cooking and chilled storage. Its height allows stacking under standard worktops or inside transport trolleys, while the width fits through commercial doorways and service lifts. The unit is designed to be carried by two people or mounted on a trolley base for mobility.
Cleaning follows from the open frame: wipe down the rails and supports with a sanitising cloth after each use. There are no enclosed spaces where food debris can collect, so maintenance is straightforward and quick.
