ILVE Range Hoods

ILVE Range Hoods — a range hood is an indispensable part of a premium kitchen setup; without a hood, intensive cooking pollutes the air with grease and odours, which damages equipment, clothing and leaves an unpleasant aroma; ILVE range hoods combine high air purification power with Italian premium design for premium hotels and projects.

ILVE range hood formats and installation

ILVE Range Hoods — ILVE offers range hoods in various formats depending on the kitchen layout. Wall hoods — the most classic format; the hood is mounted on the wall above the hob; suitable for kitchens where the stove is against a wall; ILVE wall hoods are available in various widths (60, 90 cm etc.); see ILVE Kitchen Equipment for the Home. Island hoods — the hood hangs from the ceiling above an island-type hob; it is a central design element in an open-plan kitchen; ILVE island hoods are particularly striking visually. Built-in hoods — hoods built into the kitchen cabinet above the stove; less visible but less effective than wall or island models.

Ducted and recirculating hoods

ILVE Range Hoods — range hoods operate in two modes: external venting through a duct or recirculation through carbon filters. Vented hoods — air is expelled from the room through a duct to the outside; more effective at removing odours and moisture; requires duct installation at the project stage. Recirculating hoods — air is purified through grease and carbon filters and returned to the room; suitable for spaces without a duct. Appropriate power (m³/h) — hood power is chosen according to the hob size and kitchen volume; general formula: kitchen volume (m³) multiplied by 10–15; see ILVE Stoves with Oven.

Use of ILVE hoods in premium projects

ILVE Range Hoods — ILVE range hoods are ideal for premium hotel and apartment projects, where the hood is both a functional and decorative element. Boutique hotel suite kitchen — an island-format ILVE hood above an ILVE hob is an iconic element that guests photograph and mention in reviews; it enhances the hotel’s brand image. Luxury serviced apartments — in open-plan apartments, the island hood is the main focal point in the integrated kitchen/living space. Culinary studio — in a teaching kitchen, a high-power hood is a functional requirement; see ILVE Hobs.
