In use, the box is mounted inside the cabinet, typically behind a panel or within the machinery compartment. The operator disconnects the mains supply, removes the access panel, and unplugs or unscrews the existing box. The new junction box is positioned in the same location, reconnected to the incoming cable and to each internal lead—compressor, LED lighting, thermostat and any fan motors. Once the panel is refitted and the power restored, the cooler resumes normal operation.
