A citrus juicer presses whole fruit between a rotating cone and a fixed reamer, releasing juice without pulp or seeds. The cone turns at a controlled speed, pressing the fruit against the reamer's ridges to extract liquid while the peel and pith stay out of the flow. This method keeps the juice clear and free from bitterness, and the continuous motion allows a steady output without stopping to reload individual halves or quarters.
The operator loads whole oranges into the hopper, which feeds them one by one onto the spinning cone. A simple dial sets the extraction pressure, matching the fruit's ripeness and size. Once the machine starts, the oranges are automatically pressed, the juice flows through a stainless-steel strainer into a collecting jug, and the spent peels drop into a separate bin. The process runs until the hopper is empty or the operator stops it.
The body is stainless steel, chosen for hygiene and resistance to citrus acids. The hopper, cone, reamer and juice outlet are all removable for cleaning. A single-phase 230 V motor drives the cone, drawing 3.8 kW under load, which suits a standard commercial circuit. The unit stands 1650 mm high on a 470 mm by 590 mm base, fitting under most worktop extractor hoods. Its 87 kg weight keeps it stable during operation, and the compact footprint leaves space for a jug or dispenser beside it.
A dial on the front panel adjusts the extraction pressure, letting the operator balance yield against juice clarity. The hopper holds enough fruit for several minutes of continuous pressing, reducing the need to top up during service.
Cleaning follows the removable parts: the hopper, cone, reamer and juice outlet lift off for washing. The stainless-steel surfaces wipe clean with a damp cloth, and the strainer rinses under running water. No tools are needed for daily upkeep.
The ZUMEX Versatile PRO AIO is listed in the catalogue under citrus extraction equipment.
