A citrus juicer presses halved fruit against a ridged cone, forcing the juice through a perforated strainer while the pulp and pips stay behind. The strainer's holes are sized to let the juice flow freely without letting seeds or coarse fibres pass, so the liquid that collects in the decanter is clear and ready to serve or store. To operate, the operator places a halved citrus fruit on the cone, presses down and turns the handle. The cone's ridges grip the fruit, and the downward pressure squeezes the juice out. The juice runs through the strainer into the stainless steel decanter beneath. When the fruit is spent, the operator lifts the remains off the cone and discards them. The process repeats for each half, and the decanter fills gradually. The body and decanter are stainless steel, chosen for corrosion resistance and ease of sanitising. An outer stainless steel strainer with 14 mm diameter holes sits over the decanter to catch any stray seeds or large pieces of pulp. The entire unit is hand-operated, so it needs no electrical supply and can be placed anywhere on the worktop. The footprint of 200 mm depth, 280 mm width and 340 mm height fits between other appliances or under wall cupboards. The 130 W power rating applies only if an optional motor attachment is fitted; the standard model is manual and draws no current. The stainless-steel strainer lifts out so pulp can be rinsed straight into the compost bin while the juice decanter is still on the counter. The strainer lifts off for rinsing, the decanter empties and washes separately, and the cone and handle wipe down after each use. Stainless steel surfaces resist staining and can be sanitised with standard kitchen chemicals. The catalogue places this model in the citrus preparation section alongside reamers and electric juicers.
