Insulated box HENDI 707432

An insulated box that holds food at serving temperature without electricity or ice packs. The walls trap air in microscopic cells, slowing the transfer of heat so hot dishes stay hot and cold dishes stay cool for hours. This passive insulation lets caterers transport plated meals, buffet items or bulk ingredients between kitchen and service point without reheating or chilling equipment on site.

The box is loaded by lifting the full lid, placing the food inside, and closing the seal. No settings are adjusted; the insulation works continuously once the lid is shut. Staff carry the box using the two integrated handles, which distribute weight evenly and reduce strain during repeated trips.

The box is moulded from black Piocelan LSP EB, a rigid polymer that resists dents, scratches and warping under daily use. The material does not absorb moisture or odours, so it can be wiped clean with standard kitchen sanitiser and returned to service immediately. Its smooth surface meets HACCP standards for direct food contact, allowing safe storage of raw, cooked or plated items.

The external footprint of 685 × 485 mm fits on a standard catering worktop or inside most delivery vans, while the 53 litre capacity holds up to four full gastronorm trays or a comparable volume of loose ingredients. The 260 mm height allows stacking of multiple boxes without toppling, and the rigid walls support the weight of additional units placed on top.

Cleaning is limited to the interior and exterior surfaces; no filters, fans or heating elements require maintenance. The box is rinsed with warm water and detergent, sanitised, and left to air-dry before the next use.

The box is supplied as a single 53 litre unit in black Piocelan.
