A continuous supply of dense, slow-melting ice cubes keeps drinks clear and presentation crisp in bars, restaurants and event services. The KASTEL KQ152 ice maker produces up to 150 kg of cubes every 24 hours, each cycle yielding 275 six-gram, 168 ten-gram or 110 seventeen-gram cubes that hold their shape and chill without clouding the glass. An ice maker of this type freezes water in a closed evaporator grid. The refrigerant circulates inside the grid, drawing heat from the water until it solidifies into cubes. A harvest cycle then warms the grid just enough to release the cubes into the storage container without melting them. This method ensures consistent shape, density and clarity, which are essential for professional beverage service. The operator fills the internal reservoir with fresh water, selects the cube size on the electronic panel, and starts the cycle. The machine automatically freezes, harvests and deposits the cubes into the separate storage container. When the container is full, the unit pauses production until the cubes are removed, preventing overflow and waste. The KQ152 is built with a stainless-steel exterior and an internal evaporator grid. The refrigerant used is R290, a hydrocarbon with low environmental impact. A water-cooling system is available as an optional upgrade for environments where ambient temperatures or high usage rates could otherwise reduce efficiency. The electronic control system offers a simple interface for selecting cube size and monitoring production status. The 230 V, 50 Hz power requirement matches the standard single-phase circuit found in most British commercial kitchens, while the 0.65 kW rating keeps the electrical load modest. At 560 mm wide, 620 mm deep and 575 mm high, the unit fits beneath most worktops or on a sturdy shelf. The 53 kg weight allows two people to move it safely, and the separate container simplifies restocking without disturbing the machine. Cleaning involves emptying the water reservoir, wiping the interior surfaces with a mild sanitiser, and brushing the evaporator grid to remove any mineral deposits. The separate container can be washed separately, reducing downtime between cleaning cycles. A water-cooled variant of the KQ152 is available for an additional charge, optimised for locations where ambient cooling may be insufficient. The KASTEL KQ152 is categorised under professional ice machines for daily beverage and presentation use.
