The SP series ice makers are made entirely of stainless steel. They are top-class units within the Kastel range, equipped with the latest technology to ensure maximum efficiency and long-lasting performance.

Water is drawn from a supply, circulated over a chilled evaporator plate and frozen into individual cubes. A timed cycle then releases the cubes into an integrated storage container.
To use, connect the water inlet and plug the unit into a single-phase 230 V circuit. The electronic control panel lets the operator start production, check container levels and switch between standby and full operation. Each cycle produces thirty-six cubes, while the container holds up to forty kilograms—around eleven hundred cubes—before needing to be emptied.
The cabinet is made of stainless steel for durability and easy cleaning in busy kitchens. The refrigerant is R290, a hydrocarbon with minimal environmental impact. The unit measures 736 mm wide, 620 mm deep and 800 mm high, fitting on most worktops or under counters in bar set-ups. A water-cooled model is available for environments with high ambient temperatures or limited airflow.
With a 0.57 kW power rating, the machine runs on a standard plug. Weighing sixty kilograms, it can be moved by two people or with a small trolley, though it is not intended for frequent relocation.
Maintenance involves emptying the container, wiping interior surfaces with a mild sanitiser and running a descaling cycle every few months to prevent mineral build-up on the evaporator plate. The control system includes reminders for scheduled upkeep.
The standard model is air-cooled, with a water-cooled version offered as an optional upgrade.
