The SP series ice makers are made entirely of stainless steel. They are top-class units within the Kastel range, equipped with the latest technology to ensure maximum efficiency and long-lasting performance.

Full ice cube 36 gr (42×45 mm)
An ice maker that produces thirty kilograms of dense, slow-melting cubes every twenty-four hours keeps drinks chilled without dilution and presentation crisp throughout service. The machine draws water, freezes it in a refrigerated evaporator plate, then releases the cubes into a storage bin ready for immediate use.
The operator fills the internal reservoir, switches the unit on, and selects the desired programme via the electronic control panel. Once running, the machine automatically cycles through freezing, harvesting and refilling without further intervention. A transparent front panel lets staff monitor the fill level of the twelve-kilogram bin; when full, the unit pauses production until cubes are removed, preventing overflow and waste.
The KASTEL SP30/12 is built with a stainless-steel exterior and interior surfaces for hygiene and durability. The evaporator plate and refrigeration circuit use refrigerant R290, a hydrocarbon chosen for its low environmental impact and efficient heat transfer. A water-cooling system is available as an optional variant, improving performance in high-ambient-temperature environments such as outdoor bars or busy kitchens.
The electronic control system governs the freezing cycle, harvest timing and bin-full detection. A single power switch and status indicators complete the interface, keeping operation straightforward even during peak service.
A power rating of 0.53 kW indicates a modest load on a standard 230 V single-phase circuit, suitable for most professional kitchens without requiring dedicated wiring. The thirty-six-and-a-half-kilogram weight allows the unit to be moved by two people and positioned on a sturdy worktop or under-counter shelf. Its footprint—390 mm deep, 550 mm wide and 690 mm high—fits neatly beneath most bar counters or alongside refrigeration units, making efficient use of limited floor space.
Daily upkeep involves emptying and rinsing the storage bin, wiping down the interior surfaces with a mild sanitiser, and checking that the water inlet filter is clear. The transparent front panel and removable bin simplify these tasks, reducing downtime between services.
Two variants are offered: the standard air-cooled model and a water-cooled version that carries a supplementary charge. Both share the same capacity, dimensions and electrical specifications.
The catalogue places the KASTEL SP30/12 in the professional ice-maker section, alongside units designed for continuous daily use in bars, restaurants, hotels and event catering.
