Combined digital horizontal ice cream batch freezer with automatic extraction and electronic control for a proper gelato consistency.
- : STAFF Ice system 1959
- Article number: RHB15/40
The STAFF Ice system 1959 RHB15/40 is an electromechanical batch freezer designed for combined operations. This unit features two distinct and independently functioning tanks. The operating principle involves a two-stage process. The upper tank is dedicated to thermal pasteurisation and maturing of the ice cream mixture. Following this, the mixture is transferred to the lower tank, which functions as a horizontal freezer. Here, the mixture is chilled and churned simultaneously to create ice cream. Each tank is equipped with its own compressor and inverter, allowing for simultaneous operation and precise control over their respective functions. The sequence of use begins with filling the upper tank with up to 15 litres of mixture for pasteurisation and maturing. A transparent cover allows for visual monitoring, and a flush faucet facilitates easy dispensing. An external, removable transfer channel connects the upper tank to the lower tank. The lower tank also contains a stainless steel mixer with a top-seal agitator shaft and polyethylene scrapers, and a transparent cover with a flush faucet for dispensing the finished product. The machine is controlled via an on-board computer offering 61 programmes. These include one mixing programme, 40 free programmes, pasteurisation programmes, a time-controlled batch freezing/chilling programme, five temperature-controlled batch freezing/cooling/preserving programmes, seven batch freezing density control programmes, and seven circuit programmes. Operators have the ability to dynamically alter cycles that are currently running. The unit features a multilingual display that provides visual, alphanumeric, or graphic signals. Mixer speed is variable, and temperature control is managed using PID technology. Acoustic and visual indicators are present to signal any malfunctions. Construction includes stainless steel mixers and polyethylene scrapers for both tanks. Transparent covers are fitted to both. The machine has a capacity of 40 litres per hour, with the ability to produce up to 7.5 litres of ice cream in a single work cycle. Its dimensions are 600 mm in length, 830 mm in width, and 1651 mm in height. The unit operates on a 400 V electrical supply and weighs 324 kg. It is compatible with equipment made by RHS and SMARTMIX RHS. Cleaning and upkeep involve the named components such as the stainless steel mixers, polyethylene scrapers, and the removable transfer channel. The flush faucets also require attention for hygiene.
