Digital horizontal ice cream batch freezer with automatic extraction and electronic control for a proper gelato consistency.
- : STAFF Ice system 1959
- Article number: HSX400
The STAFF Ice system 1959 HSX400 is a batch freezer designed for making gelato and sorbets.
A batch freezer chills a mix while agitating it. The mixer's movement prevents large ice crystals, resulting in a smoother texture. The mixture is dispensed when it reaches the desired consistency.
To operate the HSX400, the mix is loaded into the tank. The stainless steel mixer has self-adjusting, long-lasting POM scrapers. Users can select one of three mixer speeds, with an inverter providing an acceleration ramp. The freezing cycle can be activated during the extraction of the previous batch. The unit offers Ad Hoc consistency control and allows for customisable recipes, with control of compressor operation. This enables the production of gelato and sorbets with different structures. The mixer can produce up to 7.5 litres of ice cream in a single work cycle, with a total output capacity of 40 litres per hour.
The construction includes a high thickness stainless steel door and double door hinges. Acoustic and visual malfunction indicators are present. A tank defrost switch is also included.
The controls allow for selection of mixer speed and management of the compressor operation. The Ad Hoc consistency control system monitors and adjusts the freezing process to achieve the desired texture.
The capacity specification of 40 L/h indicates the maximum hourly production rate. The dimensions are 600 mm (length), 830 mm (width), and 1388 mm (height). The unit requires a 400 V electrical supply and weighs 215 kg.
Cleaning is facilitated by the stainless steel mixer. The unit is designed to work in wet rooms and at low temperatures.
This batch freezer is listed under bar equipment and ice cream machines.
