The STAFF Ice system 1959 HSE600 is an electromechanical batch freezer designed for the production of gelato and sorbets.
An electromechanical batch freezer operates by chilling a mix while simultaneously agitating it. The internal mixer, driven by a motor, incorporates air into the base mix and scrapes the freezing product from the cold walls of the chilling chamber, preventing large ice crystals from forming. This process results in a smooth, creamy texture. The HSE600 features a stainless steel mixer with three speed settings. It is equipped with self-adjusting, long-lasting POM scrapers.
To begin, the base mix is loaded into the machine. The freezing cycle can be activated, and the machine will process the mix. The Ad Hoc consistency control system helps to achieve a creamy, compact, and dry gelato. Customisable recipes can be set to manage consistency, density, and the action of the trowel. The machine is capable of producing up to 10 litres of ice cream in a single work cycle, with a continuation range of 2-7 litres. The door is high thickness stainless steel and features double hinges for closing. The freezing cycle can be activated even during the extraction of product.
Construction includes a stainless steel mixer and a high thickness stainless steel door. The machine is designed for use in wet rooms and at low temperatures. For ease of use, it includes a tank defrost switch for restarting the mixer and a non-slip mat for the tank.
Controls include the mixer speed settings and a tank defrost switch. The Ad Hoc consistency control allows for adjustments to achieve desired results. Malfunction indicators, both acoustic and visual, are present.
The capacity specification of 60 L/h indicates the potential output rate over an hour. The dimensions (600 mm length, 830 mm width, 1388 mm height) define the physical space the unit occupies. The weight of 257 kg indicates the unit's mass. The voltage requirement of 400 V specifies the electrical supply needed.
Cleaning and upkeep are facilitated by the design, which includes a tank defrost switch. The machine is designed for wet room operation.
This model is listed in the catalogue under bar equipment and ice cream machines.
