Hood-Type Dishwasher KASTEL HK1200EPIPRS

This dome dishwasher efficiently cleans plates, glasses, and kitchen utensils by spraying hot water through rotating arms. The dome lifts for loading, then seals to contain the spray, using heat and detergent to remove food residue. A final rinse reaches disinfection temperature, and the hood opens to release steam, leaving the load ready for unloading and the next cycle.

The HK1200EPI PRS accommodates a 500 × 500 mm basket, suitable for standard plates, GN 1/1 containers, pots, and pastry tins up to 415 mm tall. Four cycles—60, 120, 180, and 540 seconds—allow adjustment of washing intensity to match soil levels, optimising water and energy use.

Operation is straightforward: lift the hood, slide in the basket, close the hood to start the cycle, and lift it again when the machine signals completion. The electronic Smart Interface displays the selected programme and monitors temperature, pressure, and chemical dosing throughout the cycle.

Constructed entirely from stainless steel, the dishwasher includes a double-skinned hood to reduce noise, heat loss, and steam emission. A triple water filtration system and self-cleaning vertical pump maintain a debris-free hydraulic circuit. An atmospheric boiler and Break Tank technology ensure a stable hot-water supply and prevent backflow into the mains.

Key features include a Start/Stop hood function that activates or halts the cycle when the hood is opened or closed, an electric detergent and rinse-aid dispenser for precise chemical dosing, and an automatic end-of-day self-cleaning programme that flushes the wash tank without manual intervention.

The dishwasher requires a three-phase 400 V circuit, with a 128 kg weight necessitating fixed installation on a solid floor.

Daily maintenance involves wiping stainless steel surfaces, checking detergent and rinse-aid levels, and running the end-of-day self-cleaning programme. The filtration system and self-cleaning pump minimise manual cleaning of the wash chamber and arms.

Standard equipment includes two 50 × 50 cm plate racks, one 50 × 50 cm glass rack, two cutlery holders, a 2-metre inlet hose, and a 2-metre drain hose. A water softener is available as an optional extra.
