This heated shelf maintains plated dishes at serving temperature without drying or overcooking. The Novameta LPK22 1200 features infrared elements positioned beneath each shelf. These elements direct heat to plates and food, ensuring even warmth while keeping the surrounding air cooler. This approach prevents condensation and preserves the quality of sauces and meats during service.
Dishes are placed on the shelf, the temperature is adjusted up to the maximum setting, and the unit is activated. The six heating elements operate independently, enabling different courses to be held at separate temperatures. The shelves maintain the chosen temperature continuously without preheating or cycling.
The unit is constructed with a stainless-steel frame and aluminium shelves. It folds flat for convenient storage or transport. The dimensions are 1200 mm wide, 300 mm deep, and 700 mm high, designed to fit standard professional worktops. Each shelf supports a uniform load of 30 kg, suitable for a full service of plated dishes.
Controls include a rotary knob per shelf for adjusting the temperature from ambient up to 60 °C. The unit operates on a 230 V supply, compatible with standard UK commercial circuits, with a total power draw when all elements are active.
The 1200 mm width allows the shelf to fit most worktop sections, while the 300 mm depth ensures easy access. The 700 mm height provides clearance for two shelves, each accommodating gastronorm trays or multiple plated dishes. The 30 kg load capacity per shelf ensures stability during busy service periods.
Cleaning involves wiping the shelves and frame with a damp cloth after use. The infrared elements are sealed and require no maintenance. The foldable design allows the unit to be stored flat when not in use, optimising kitchen space.
