A heated upper shelf keeps plated dishes at serving temperature without a bain-marie or hot cupboard. The shelf surface is warmed by an internal element that spreads heat evenly across the full length. Because the heat rises directly beneath the plates, the food stays at the set temperature without drying or overcooking, ready for immediate service.
The operator places the shelf above an existing worktop, securing it to the uprights of the Novameta table 1400 series. Once connected to the electrical supply, the thermostat is set within the 60 °C range. The shelf reaches temperature and holds it continuously, allowing staff to load and unload plates as orders are called.
Construction is stainless steel throughout, with a flat, unobstructed surface 1400 mm long and 300 mm deep. The 400 mm height positions the shelf at a comfortable reach above the worktop, while the 0.9 kW power rating draws a modest load suitable for a standard kitchen circuit. A uniform 30 kg load capacity ensures even weight distribution across the shelf, preventing hot or cold spots.
Cleaning is limited to wiping the stainless steel surface with a damp cloth; no disassembly is required. The shelf is offered in a single specification for the Novameta table 1400 series and is catalogued under heated pass-through equipment.
